It was blowing a gale here, last night, stayed in. Those steps in Torremolinos that leads you to the town and vice versa to the beach, well, I recently discovered after 30 odd years, there is a lift that takes you to the top for 50c.
We know there's a lift there somewhere, but have never used it. Because we always stay in Benalmadena, we usually get a bus up to Torremolinos and walk down the steps, then walk back along the paseo via La Carihuela. Jx
It's a lovely walk. We do that almost every other day, ending up at the marina to feed the grey mullet, that's Carmen, not the fish. There is a new bar in Torremolinos that has just opened called Padam.
We'll have to try it when we're there in February! If, of course, it's open at that time of year. Loads aren't, or at least just open Friday and Saturday. Jx
I could have swung for Carmen, she took me to a sleazy mens club called Alcatraz I thought it was an ordinary bar but turned out to be a bit kinky, with slings and chains I didn't know where to put myself... at first. I kept being pursued by a big fat man with cellulite.
That's amazing, you got Torremolinos from that crappy photo. Don't get me started on the buffet soup, cream of tomato or otherwise, it was leek and potato last night and something unmentionable in the other cauldron for the natives. I don't like going during It's busy period as I suffer from buffet rage, its like watching a plague of locusts, and buffet tourists those people without plates who just love getting in your way ouuing and ahhhing and pointing and those saddos that take pictures.
Sin duda Torremolinos es un lugar icónico de la península ibérica (España) en donde pasar unas agradables vacaciones estivales. Por tanto habrás disfrutado de un excelente verano.
Came home Tuesday evening, need to get my bearings. I could never spend Christmas in Benidorm, they play piped music of children singing Christmas songs throughout the old town, day and night, if it's not them singing it's the Hammond organ, it's so creepy it sends shivers down your spine.
Jealous? Moi? Yes. Jx

DeleteOh, that looks like a nice place to be! A bit lacking in flora though.
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely here with lots of greenery It's like the hanging gardens of Babylon amongst the concrete edifices.
DeleteI was wondering where you'd gone. It's just not fair!!!!

ReplyDeletethis must almost be the end of the beach season, I'm glad you squeezed in one last frolic.

ReplyDeleteThat's easy for you to say.
