This Time Last Week - Benidorm

Soaking up a little culture in Benidorm.
Carona Del Mar. Room with a cemetery view.

Our last day. If I wanted weather like this I would have stayed at home.
The rain in Spain. Sat at a pavement café watching the natives pass by, despite the rain it was about 20ºC and they're dressed for a polar expedition. Opposite our table is a delightful luxury boutique from Benidorm's most renowned designers called Coral.

Shall we have a quick browse inside Coral see what's on offer?

    1. I knew you would like them. I saw a woman in the indoor market wearing a pink pair, she was also wearing trackie bottoms and bouling an elderly dog in a pram.

  3. I do hope you got us each a pair as a wonderful Christmas present. And rain on a sunny holiday! It's like when people come to San Francisco thinking it will be some California Beach Blanket Bingo movie and the fog blows in instead.

  4. I think Crocs can look jolly festive with lengths of tinsel threaded through the holes. Can you get Crocs in red?

    1. Those are plastic shoes made to look like Crocs. Crocs for the poor. My mother once bought me a pair of Nicks trainers when I was a teen I asked for Nikes and I got a pair of Nicks, Nicks! I was traumatised as you can imagine. 'I asked for Nikes you dim witted woman Nikes!' No red ones I'm afraid only what's on display.

    2. It's hard to imagine anything worse than Crocs but knock-off Crocs could well be it.

  8. Well, the cemetery looks very neat and tidy. A bit like a garden centre's outdoor ornaments section, actually. I wouldn't like to be buried there, though - there's a very likely chance of a drunken stag party vomiting off the balcony onto one's plot!

    1. I like to stay at the Poniente end of Benidorm it's more Spanish and its where all the gay bars are, so I don't have to walk far to pick up men. The hen and stag do/egg and chips brigade stay at Levante end, where it's common.
