Crotch Rot

Not even a year old and already my Wrangler 32 R  have Crotch Blowout at the seam. Does this happen to you?

Washing Denim More Regularly – Washing your denim every few months will keep the fibres strong and clean. This will also help avoid the occurrence of blowouts and contrary to the belief of most, this will have minimal negative effects on your fades.

Every few months! Mine gets put in the wash after 2 days of wearing.

Can I tempt anyone to one of my homemade Jaffa Cakes?

  1. Blimey! Given that most jeans are worn for yard work they'd need more regular washing than that!
To go by those photos I'd say someone's been sitting on some poke-y things...

    1. I know the filthy pigs.

      *Blushes*

I have been doing a lot more straddling lately but I always take my jeans off before going on the exercise bike.

  2. I suggest more alkaline underwear.

Did Carmen make the yummy-looking Jaffa Cakes?

    1. Wearing underwear, now there's a novelty. I made the Jaffa Cakes with my own fair hands.

  5. Clothing is made these days not to last, cheap quality denim is rife along with construction of garments full of shortcuts and poor quality workmanship. ii can make my own jeans but going to the effort of finding a good supplier of quality fabric is nearly impossible and eventually leads to jut buying ready made off the shelf.
You could always add a decorative colourful patch to give them the WOW factor when one bends over... A "glow in the dark" patch could be an alternative option... or getting out a knife and making a few more decorative slashes so that the blowout blends with the rest of the garment...

    1. You only have to browse around Primark to see that. The Turin Shroud, another shoddy piece of knitwear ever seen and yet it's lasted for centuries. I've got a good mind to lead a protest march through Debs chanting:
      What do we want?
      Reinforced gussets!
      When do we want them?
      Now!

  6. Mine wear out at the knees.

Jaffa cake... did they ever solve the question as to whether it's a biscuit or a cake?

    1. I have a pair like that.

No it's a cake otherwise it'll say Jaffa Biscuits on the box.

  7. the first place mine always wore out was the little spot on ,u right thigh where I carry my keys. They also got very flattering (with no help from e, I swear!) fade right over my bulge. So vulgar.

  8. I think your maid of all work has been licking the chocolate off your jaffacakes...

    1. I had overheated the chocolate in the microwave, it went all clumpy and I couldn't get it to stick on the cakes. Tasted alright though.

  9. My jeans also usually go holey in the knees first. Have you been sitting on rocks?

  10. Mine wear out in the crotch! Men can be so grabby. This is a sensitive subject for some but I rarely wash my jeans. Maybe four times a year. Back when they were cheap and basically wearable napkins I used to wash them after every use, but now I'm stingy. Following up on Peenee, I miss the days when I guy had the faded Skoal ring in his back pocket. That always got me. A faded ironed-in crease down the front is a deal breaker! Don't even get me started about elastic waist or pleated jeans...
