Fiddler's Dram - Day Trip To Bangor

I was in the car listening to the radio when Tina Turner's Private Dancer came on:

"I'm your private dancer
A dancer for money
I'll do what you want me to do
I'm your private dancer
A dancer for money
And any old music will do"

Any old music will do eh? Ok Tina, lets see you do a sexy dance to this then.

Daytrip to Bangor reached number 3 in the charts in 1980. My iTunes counts says it has been played a staggering 14 times!

  1. I'd pay to see that...but not that much. My mum and dad saw Teen in one of her comebacks and said she wasn't up to the dancing. I did point out that at 126, she might not be as sprightly as she once was.
    I bought this single.

  2. Cathy le Surf? I had no idea that was her name. Is it really bad that I remember all the words? Loving the folk fro on the guitar playing dude. And the male version of the Ladybirds singing backing vocals, nice.
Tina? I can easily believe that she taught Mick Jagger to dance. They're both shit. xxx

  6. I've been playing this song non-stop for the past 5 hours, it is quite an ear-worm. Oh, pop music isn't what it was. I'd love to go to this earthly paradise called Bangor where it's possible to have lunch for under a £1.

Watching the accompanying video, have you seen the man with the frizz-ball hairstyle at 16-18 seconds, to the right of Cathy LeSurf? What a dreamboat! I've just had a furious wank!
