Got flashed at in Silcock's toilets by an old man wearing a mac, he was stood masturbating at the urinal, he turned round, winked at me and showed me it. If he had been 50 years younger! |
Gypsy Lavinia epitomises the fading holiday town along with Pat's Bingo.

Blackpool in Mid September, Blackpool for most of the year! White foam was blowing everywhere due to severe wind and rain battering the water front. yes I received a face full of salty spray, not for the first time! The wind dropped around lunchtime and the sun came out, it became rather pleasant. |
|
Seriously creepy! |

One can never have enough nail varnish. |
At The North pier we came upon a penny arcade, housing an extensive working collection of curious antique slot machines, treasures of your childhood. Pay a pound and in return you receive five old penny coins that operates the games, including a Sooty and Sweep puppet show!

She's like Nostradamus! |

Blackpool's illuminations are 6 miles long so we decided to take a tram tour of the lights, it took an hour an half, then afterwards we ate chips in the street, Carmen's biggest decision was whether to have batter bits with hers, she did. |
|
A distastefully dressed tram. |

Blackpool's version of The Bates Motel (not the one we stayed at). Nice to know the Queens are open all year round! |
I especially like all of the lights!
ReplyDeleteDoes Carmen like mayo on her chips? I tried that in Germany last year.
Yes she does but nothing comes close to having Heinz salad cream on your chips. In Blackpool they mix ketchup with mayonnaise and call it marie-rose sauce!
DeleteWhen I was in the Navy, the cooks mixed ketchup and mayo and called it "French Dressing!"
DeleteIt's the glamorous life.
ReplyDeleteIt is Mr Peenee, Blackpool is often referred as a "poor man's Las Vegas" but I have to disagree, it's more Paris by the sea, with it's chic little boutiques and pavement cafes.
DeleteHello Mitzi:
ReplyDeleteNow just think what expense you have saved by having that wonderful exfoliating facial for free courtesy of Blackpool's salty sea spray in the face!
You do know how to live life in the fast lane........chips and batter bits....even Heston Blumenthal hasn't caught up with that yet!!
Did you have a good time?
I just adore the weather-beaten look as it helps to fit in with the locals that and musing over the cheap polyester clothing from Bonny Street market.
DeleteGod I love Blackpool. We used go twice a year when I was a kid. We made it to the Cliffs Hotel later on a few times because my Grandad wanted to be closer to Dolly's Bar!
ReplyDeleteI remember those Penny Arcade things fondly There was one of a hanging I seen to recall, as well as that hautnted house one. Little Ivy spent many hours infront of them laughing like s small drain..
I think if you haven't been flashed at in Blackpool, you've missed a treat. I was flashed on my way to the ice cream palour off Albert Road. Didn't put me off my rum n'raisin though.xxx
Yes I remember the hanging with a soilder stood outside the gates the trap door opens and the body drops. What fun! Do you remember when it used to be free to walk around the Pleasure Beach? Now they charge you £5 for the privilege! No we never.
DeleteFlashed at in Blackpool by an antique slot machine with salty spray... yes, I'm speed reading again....
ReplyDeleteSx
This is not 50 Shades Of Grey!
ReplyDeleteI do not understand you Mitzi - what makes you go there? Is it Masochism?
ReplyDeleteMy mother asks the same questions Mago. "Why?...you were not brought up to eat chips in the street like a common Parisian gamin!" She has a strong leaning towards dramatic monologues when her bloods up. I will tell you what I told her. For the cock dear! "Carmen, the hartshorn for Mago!" I responded to an advert I saw in the local newspaper offering good discounts on coach trips, staying at a four star hotel. Llandudno in Wales was our first choice of destination, unfortunetly it was fully booked. They offered us a mystery tour or Blackpool as an alternative
DeleteWell at least you got your week end wet!
ReplyDeleteSaucy mare!
