I have sadly never watched Bore-the-Nation Street (I'm still working my way through the back catalogue of Dynasty, Dallas and The Wombles) but I was extremely saddened to hear of the passing of Hayley. She was a national icon and it was good that the soap storyline included a transgendered character. I genuinely liked her a lot. She was fun.
The only good news from this is that Roy Cropper, tall dark and handsome, is back and available for dates. I just checked his profile out on ChicksWithDicks.com. Hoorah!
I haven't watched Copulation Street for a couple of years and I don't miss it one bit. I liked Haley but I think she should have been played by a real transgendered woman, someone like Ian Towning from Dickenson's Real Deal would have been perfect.
The actress who played Haley is only 43! She must have had a hard life. I'm going to send my CV to Granada Studios to be the next Roy Cropper love interest. it doesn't matter about the lack of acting experience, it hasn't stopped the present cast from getting jobs there. I will model my looks on Yootha Joyce from George & Mildred, be a total bitch with a penchant for Bichon Frisé, talc, jam making and necrophilia.
