  1. I found an orphaned baby possum in a flooded creek a long time ago. My sister's cat was nursing kittens at the time and she readily adopted the possum! The kittens hissed at it though.

    1. Is that what they are? I thought they were rats.

    2. Vile disgusting creatures. They're marsupials and really unrelated to any other animal. They are also immune to poisonous snake bites. However, few survive the bite of my dog Shareeka.

    1. Welcome back Shirley so good to see your jolly old ecaf again. We don't have oppossums here, thank goodness, I used to go ratting in my youth with a lad who lived on a farm along with his two Jack Russells Rex and Dolly, gave me a thrill like no other, *Shake it Rex shake it!*

    I didn't know you were a mother?

At least any that you knew about...

    1. We celebrate Mother's Day in March Ayem8y. Your Mother's day is sometime in May.

Sadly, I don't have any children Ayem8y, except for the brown babies I give birth to on a daily basis, I had twins this morning, I christened them 'Winston' and 'Floella' before I flushed em down the pan. I once toyed with the idea of adopting a child, but I imagined that child coming out of the kitchen pushing the dessert trolley singing "It's A Hard Knock Life, no, that would never do and besides, I'd never get any Rummy played if I had to run around after children all day long.

  4. I’ve just Googled Neil Reid to find this…

Known also as "Wee Neil Reid", he was eight when he was discovered singing at a pensioners' party in 1968.

    Teehee.
